We ordered this topper to actually go with our existing “generic” memory foam mattress which was a bit on the thin side (an impulse purchase we made when our old high-end spring mattress seemed to be sagging). Our plan had been to place this topper on top of the flipped over existing “generic” memory foam mattress and see how it went. All in all it wasn’t a bad idea, but it definitely created a very soft mattress – not so good. After some debate, we decided to try putting this new topper on top of our old high-end mattress and see what happened. Oh. My. Gosh!!!!!!! It is like heaven! Our original mattress was nearly $4,000 – and from what we’d read had begun to break down way too early. This new topper has probably added 5 to 10 more years of use. It is very thick, very comfortable, just great to sleep on!
It truly is the full 4 inches thick. There was very little of the “weird odor” typically associated with memory foam, and something that impressed me was that the entire foam was truly white – none of the yellowing so common with memory foams. Also, straight out of the box, it laid out completely flat within an hour of unpacking it.
The description doesn’t make it clear, but the memory foam DOES come with a mattress cover/pad. It is of excellent quality – none of that weird netting-like flimsy side tuff you usually find with an “included” mattress pad. The elastic seems to be nice and strong too and the entire thing wraps very nicely around the memory foam and the existing mattress.
I honestly do not think you will find a better quality memory foam topper and mattress pad for a comparable price anywhere else. If you are in the market for one, this is the one you want. Oh, and added bonus, it shipped and arrived very quickly. We had it within 4 days of placing the order. So kudos to the seller as well. Definitely one of the best purchases we’ve made this year.

I have bought 100’s of items from amazon over the years, this is my first review; THAT is how disappointed I am with this product.
I bought this thinking it was a 5.5lb density memory foam mattress. This is definitely NOT the case. It is more like 2lbs per foot dense. A queen size 4″ topper is 80″ x 60″ x 4″, thus it is 19,200 Cubic inches. To convert that into feet, divide that figure by 1,728 (12×12x12) = 11.11111 Cubic feet of foam. SO, at 5.5 lbs per cubic feet, this topper should way over 60 pounds. But, shipped, with box and cover, this weighs in at a scant 24 pounds!
For someone looking for a low density memory foam topper, this may be the one. But, for those of us that think the 5.5 used in the advertisement of this topper refers to the density of the foam, they will probably be disappointed.
This mattress pad has held up well since we bought it about 2 months ago. It is however almost too thick, I think I would go down an inch in the future. The topper often times has to be readjusted because it starts to shift on the mattress, so make sure you have a deep pocket mattress pad and well fitting sheets to help keep the topper in place. Don’t expect to use the cover that comes with the topper for anything more than an extra layer to protect the foam it will not cover the mattress.
I’m sure that this will come across as slight to some, but after a 24 hour grace period to let the pad expand, it was only 3.5 inches in thickness. I’m not returning the product, but if you are debating on purchasing this item then keep it in mind.
Wish I had read warranty before buying this memory foam mattress. After 6 months, mattress has lost support and takes a long time to recover shape. We are constantly turning and rotating mattress to try to find an area that still maintains support. E-mailed company, through Amazon, and was told to read warranty. First disclaimer in warranty states that warranty DOES NOT COVER increase in softness or decrease in slow recovery (retaining shape) features. Very poor product.
For the price this product is ok. We have had ours for about 9 months now, and you can tell where we sleep on it. It has conformed to our bodies. It is very soft and provides lots of cushion. I wouldnt say its the best bed topper, but if being used for a guest room, it would be fine.
i bought this hoping that it would work the wonders some of the reviews report– my boyfriend has terrible back problems and i’ve got a bad back and bad knees and hips– and have been pretty dissapointed. neither of us has noticed any real change, except his suspicion that it’s making his back worse.
if you aren’t interested for medical reasons then it’s a fine mattress pad. it’s definitley comfortable, and it’s a neat feeling if you’re not familiar with it. overall i like it much better than not, and if my hopes hadn’t been so high i think i’d have been totally satisfied.
I really like this mattress topper…….i have arthritis in various points on my body, and sleeping is now much more comfortable. It really is a good product and well worth the money, but i have to admit that it takes a little getting used to. I am used to a firm mattress without any pillow top, so this feel a little differant, but it was easy to get accustomed to the new feel. It is finally easy to get a comfortable position to sleep in. If you have arthritis pain or discomfort, this may be the ticket for you.
I saw in other reviews that the topper needed to be aired out for long periods of time, but this was not my experience. I opened it—which is a little tricky due to how it is compressed and wrapped. Once i got it opened, i let it come to size and air out for about an hour. I really didn’t notice much odor at all. On thing to remember—you will need fitted sheets that have deep pockets. standard pockets won’t fit. This is really a good product and a must for anyone who has pain due to arthritis or pressure points. As usual, amazon.com is the way to go!!!
Well this memory foam stuff is pretty expensive, isn’t it? I bought this to take the edge off of my futon. I love the futon and its hard flatness, but lately it was feeling a bit too hard. This foam arrived in record time and it really is comfortable. Just what I wanted.
Good at first but after awhile the foam permanately leaves indentations and looks like bumps when your bed is made. I thought it would last a lot longer than it did. Nothing like the name brand memory foam bed.
My husband hates this item, he roasts and says that his shoulder bothers him when he sleeps on the foam. So, I double it over but then I am sleeping many inches higher than him. I love this item, and it doesn’t make me get overheated like him. The doubling over makes me feel like I am sleeping on a cloud. Having it flat wasn’t enough foam for my hips at 5.5 inches, but at 11 it is great. So his loss is my gain.
I’ve had it about a month now, to replace the “replaceable” pillow top on my mattress (the “Nautilus” company went belly up, so I can’t get a replacement pillow top from them).
The foam topper is already starting to get a permanent dent where I sleep and sit alot with my kids (laptop, bedtime stories, etc). I would hope that the brand name, expensive memory foam wouldn’t lose its “memory” so fast – maybe it’s just cuz this one was so cheap.
Hi its actually not a review but a question to anyone who has purchased this product. It shipped by DHL but it came within a standarad Brown packing box with no warranty card or anything. The foam was wrapped in polythene along with the cover. I was expecting it in a box with the brand name and a warranty card like the same way you purchase from any store. I am not sure whether its a new one or a refurbished /old one. let me know if anyone got it the same way.

I didn’t know exactly what to expect when I purchased this memory foam. The old saying “You get what you pay for” kept running thru my mind. I was pleasantly suprised. DHL delivered 1 week ahead of schedule. The seller has fantastic communication skills. The mattress has a slight oder when first opened. Like it’s new smell. I opened it up and laid it flat on my existing mattress. The foam flattened out and expanded to full thickness within a couple of hours. This mattress is a FULL 4″ thick piece of 100% Visco Elastic Memory Foam NOT just a thin layer!!!! AMAZING VALUE HERE!! I couldn’t have purchased an item of this quality for under $500.00 any where I have looked. Unbelievable Value!! Sooooo Comfortable to sleep on. I wish I’d had this 10years ago. My back and corpal tunnel hands LOVE IT!! I suffer from a nerve disease and no bed in our budget could give me the relief I needed. I looked in stores and didn’t want to pay the outrageous prices. I came on amazon and found this. It’s a great product and I’ve had several friends since order the same thing. It’s helped me so much without us having to get a tempurpedic mattress. It shipped super fast and I felt so taken care of. Anyone who lays on our bed is instantly in love cause it’s soft but firm. It’s a dream!
I bought this for my son’s twin bed. We bought him a really good mattress but he complains it is too hard. We have a high-end memory foam topper on our bed which he loves so I needed to do something for him. This is perfect. He thinks it is wonderfully comfortable and almost took a nap on it the moment I put it on the bed! (He is NOT a napper!!!)
I took other reviewers’ advice and bought the larger size so I could cut it to really fit edge to edge. I also let it air out for about a week. So no problems with odor or fit and it was easily cut with a razor knife.
BY comparison to our top shelf memory foam topper, you can tell when you do the hand-print test, the imprint isn’t as deep before disappearing but it is still good and a few hundred dollars cheaper than ours. So, all in all, a good deal for a nice product. And the service was excellent…Super fast shipping too.
I thought this thing was going to make my sleep better but it only made it worse! The smell when i first opened it was horrible I had to let it air out for hours. I slept through the night and I don’t remember tossing and turning at all. When I woke up, I could barely get out of bed. I had the worst backache ever. I think the mattress is just too soft. I don’t recommend this if you have a bad back or like your bed firm.
I have a sterns and foster mattress set and was waking everyday with a backache and the set was only a few years old. Never failed, always had that awful backache. I bought this mattress cover and I couldn’t believe how I woke up everyday without a miserable back. I never notice any smell when I took it out…if there was one, it didn’t bother me. Comes well packed and fast shipping. I have purchased another one of these for a different bed. I am very happy with my purchase.
